In 2012, four scholarships totaling $4,500 were given to stellar students based on academic achievement, financial need, and a variety of distinguished character traits.
The Spirit of Chaparral Scholarship - Seeks to recognize a young woman who has spent time giving back to her community in philanthropic or religious charities, specifically in a leadership role(s). Activities, academics, financial need and essay content will be considerations for this scholarship.
The Dian Moore Memorial Scholarship - Honors a late RRISD educator and member. We seek candidates (male or female) who are pursuing education or working with young children as a career. Career goals, academic standing, leadership experiences and financial need are all considered for this scholarship.
The Chaparral Business, Science, and Technology Scholarship - Seeks to recognize a student (male or female) interested in majoring in business, applied or natural science at an institute of higher learning. Career goals, academic standing, activities, and financial need are all considered for this scholarship.
The Clay Madsen Memorial Scholarship - Honors a late RRHS scholar/athlete and son of a former Chaparral Women’s Club member. This scholarship, available only to Round Rock High School males, seeks applicants who are involved in athletics, church activities, and possess outstanding character traits.
